1924: A Salmon Forest lookout report shows that two men were posted at this point.
August 1928: "From the lightning storm last Saturday night a bolt hit the Two Point Peak lookout, melting the alidade and breaking the glass of the firefinder into small bits. The post upon which this was setting was also shattered into fine splinters. Norman Howell, the lookout on this point, was a few yards away in his tent keeping out of the rain. He says this is about as close as he cares to be to a bolt of lightning." (Recorder and Herald)
